NZD/USD falls to test daily lows

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The NZD/USD lost momentum during the American session and dropped to test daily lows below 0.8630. Price bottomed at 0.8628 and at the moment trades at 0.8630, less than 5 pips below the price it opened the week.

On a quiet day, the NZD/USD peaked on Asian hours at 0.8654, on the back of inflation data from New Zealand but then lost momentum and pulled back.

NZD/USD levels to watch

To the downside immediate support lies at 0.8620/25 (May 14, 15 and 16 lows) and below here at 0.8600. To the upside resistance levels might be located at 0.8655 followed by 0.8670 and then 0.8695/0.8700.

ECB likely to cut - BBH

Marc Chandler, Global Head of Currency Strategy at Brown Brothers Harriman suggested in recent days, it has become clearer that the ECB is more likely to cut rates than initiate an asset purchase program.
