Erdogan pushes for extra easing – RTRS

According to news agency Thompson/Reuters, Turkish President R.Erdogan has advocated recent rate cuts by the CBRT, while he expects further rate cuts in order to support growth and employment.

TRY has regained ground vs. the greenback today, driving USD/TRY from highs near the 2.9700 handle to the current 2.9530/20 area.
