EUR/AUD finds buyers above the 1.41 handle
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - With EUR/USD near session and weekly lows last at 1.3073, the EUR/AUD cross is last trading at 1.4141, off recent session and weekly lows at 1.41 round, given Aussie is slightly weaker than Euro for the session being.
1.44 cap questioned
EUR/AUD is down -0.72% for the week so far, following a fresh almost 3-year high printed past Thursday at 1.4416. Aussie has been strongest currency among majors in last 2 trading days, while Euro has been the weakest along the Loonie and Swiss Franc. According to FXWW founder Sean Lee, the EUR/AUD “is trying to form a cap below important weekly resistance near 1.4400. It tried the same recently and failed!.”
Key technical levels
Immediate resistance to the upside for EUR/AUD shows at Monday's Asian session lows 1.4167, followed by Friday's lows at 1.4192, and yesterday's highs/Thursday's lows at 1.4258. To the downside, closest support lies at mentioned recent session/weekly lows 1.4100, followed by June 17 highs at 1.4026, and June 19 lows at 1.3999.
