AUD/USD rises to 1-week highs

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The aussie rose further against the US dollar and climbed to 0.8161 reaching the highest level since last Monday.

The AUD/USD pair currently trades at 0.8150, up 35 pips from today’s opening price. The retreated from the highs found support at 0.8145.

Recovery continues

Last week AUD/USD bottomed at 0.8086, the lowest since June 2010 and then started to recover. So far it has been able to rise almost a hundred pips from the lows and the short term technical outlook of the aussie has improved but the main trend remains bearish.

LME Inventory Update

The warehouse stocks data released daily by the London Metal Exchange (LME) today showed a rise in the inventory levels of Lead, while the inventory level of Aluminium, Nickel, Zinc declined.
